John Donnarumma Obituary

Mr. John Donnarumma Jr., 79, on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015, lost his battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.

Formerly, from Budd Lake, N.J. he moved to Florida where he resided with his wife, Elizabeth.

John built a reputation within the reinforced plastics industry, serving as Vice President with Berton Plastics, Hackensack, N.J. John was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Feb. 3, 1936, to the late Anna and John Donnarumma.

He is predeceased by his brother, Thomas.

He was a proud United States Marine who served during the Korean War. John was a founding member of the Solivita Veterans Club and the "16 Pack Golf Club". He was an avid golfer and hunter. His passion was to travel with his wife, Elizabeth and spend time with his children and grandchildren, as well as his constant canine companion, Maggie.

John is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Elizabeth Donnarumma (Dodds); His daughters, Janet Doyle and her husband, Tim, of Boonton, N.J.. Lynda Donnarumma, of Harmony, Fla., Susan Godbout and her husband, Keith, of Concord and Karen Donnarumma, of Kissimmee, Fla.; and his six adoring grandchildren, Danielle Sabat, Ashely Godbout, Adam Godbout, Tyler Doyle, Timmy Doyle and Cassidy Donnarumma.

Funeral arrangements were held on Monday, Sept. 14, at The Holy Redeemer Church, Kissimmee, Fla.

Internment will be at Stanhope Union Cemetery, in Stanhope, N.J. at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests, donations to the American Cancer Society, in John's name.

Dear Lizabeth and family

Our deepest sympathy to you and your family. Sorry we were never ever to get together these last years but things have been difficult here too. George also has had many problems and is using a walker and almost house bound.
