Jonathan Lockwood Obituary
He was born in Columbus, Ohio, on Nov. 5, 1965. He was raised in Concord, and a graduate of Concord High School in 1984. Jon most recently owned, managed, and operated Tight Lines Fishing Services in Wilmot. The shop retains Jon's aura and his dream to see it continue to wield fishing stories and friendships has come true. Jon's charisma has and will forever inspire his family and friends. Even during his declining health he enjoyed getting up at 3 a.m. to get ready for his fishing or hunting excursions. Being out of doors was his "therapy". Jon's enthusiasm towards living life each day 'as though it were his last' heartened his marriage and connection with his children. Jon exercised a compelling charm that inspired devotion by his wife, children, family, and all who knew him.
The family members surviving will forever hold in their hearts their Jonathan. Adored son of Stanton E. and Bonnie McGrew Lockwood; beloved husband of Jennifer Lower Lockwood; devoted father of Samuel David Lockwood and Sadie Jane Lockwood; loving brother of Jane Lockwood Hubbard, her husband, Jay, and dear uncle to their sons Jacob and Carl; and cherished relative of many in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
There will be no funeral services or viewing hours as the family plans to spread cremains in the spring.
Details for a service memorializing Jonathan's life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, interested parties may contribute to a savings account for the benefit of Jon's children and their education in Jennifer's name at Lake Sunapee Bank, PO Box 37, New London, NH 03257.

Steve and I will never forget our great neighbors "The Lockwoods". We have always cherished the great times we shared with you and enjoyed watching Jane and Jon grow up.
Jon loved taking Matthew fishing. He was Matt's best buddy. I will never forget the big trout they both caught and brought home in a cooler. Matt still has that trout to this day.
We send our love to all of you and hope you know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Jon touch many peoples lives and the memories that we all have can never be taken away from us.

I am so sorry for your loss. I did not know Jonathan, but i am sure he will be missed by many. It really hurts when a loved one dies, no matter there age. I am deeply moved for all of Jonathan's family and friends. I will keep all of you in my prayers that you find comfort and peace. So very sorry.
