(Sarah) June Willey Gilbert

Eden Prairie, MN - June Gilbert, age 86 passed away peacefully on August 19, 2023 from pancreatic cancer. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Gordon; her daughters, Janelle Steinman (Peter) and Laurelle Clarke; two grandsons, Alexander and Andrew Steinman; sister Carol Royce of Concord, NH; brother William Willey of Minneapolis, several nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends.

June was born in Concord, NH on June 12, 1937 and graduated from Concord High. Due to her desire to travel she became a flight attendant for United Airlines and was based out of Los Angeles. It was there she met the love of her life, Gordon. They moved to Minneapolis, where she became an account executive for Knox Reeves Advertising and eventually retired as Human Resource Manager for Wilson Learning. June was an active member of the Eden Prairie Lioness Club for over forty years, a member of the Clipped Wings group, dinner club, bridge clubs, bocce ball league, golf leagues and many other activities.

A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Andrew Lutheran Church on Friday September 8 th. Donations to St. Andrew Lutheran Church 13600 Technology Drive Eden Prairie, MN 55344 or the Eden Prairie Lions Foundation PO Box 44364 Eden Prairie, MN 55344. are preferred.
