I was saddened to learn of Mr. Gilmore's passing. I have thought about him many times over the years. He was my psychology teacher at Fisher College (1967-69) and was instrumental in helping my sister and me understand our Mother's mental illness. He was a devoted, sympathetic, excellent teacher. Over the years, I often remembered and talked about him for taking the extra time and effort for his students. He was a fascinating and kind teacher for whom I will be forever grateful. May he rest in peace.

It's now 2023. so I'm am relieved to learn of Lyman's death rather than imagining other reasons I have not heard in a long time. He was a wonderful friend for many years - what a fascinating teacher he was.

I was thinking about Lyman tonight and searched where he might be. I am sorry to hear he has passed. He was one of the greatest men I ever met. He was my coach on the New Hampshire college ski team in 1969. He help me to transfer to NEC where he was going to work. A great mentor and friend.

I just saw in The NEC magazine that Lyman passed away. I can not even describe how sad I am. I was a shy freshman in one of many classes he taught in 1975. He saw something in me that I never knew about myself. He challenged me in so many ways and mentored me throughout my 4 years at NEC. He encouraged me to become a Spanish teacher and guided me and helped me design my major. I feel so fortunate that I was able to speak to him many years ago to thank him for all he did for me. I had a 36 year teaching g career that never would have been possible without his guidance and confidence. I am so saddened to hear of his passing and I have thought about him many times over the years. My prayers are with his wife and family.

I knew "Mr. Gilmore" from Nathaniel Hawthorne College where he was my English teacher. He started me on the path to being a good writer. We all admired him. It was a treat to see him aggressively ski Crotched Mt.

Lyman was my professor at NEC. He was a brilliant man, but even more importantly he was kind. It was a blessing knowing him.

So sorry to hear of Lymans passing. I knew him from NEC and he once put on a workshop with me and two others at Goddard College in the early 1970's.

Richard and Lisa, it was such a privilege to know your dad. He was one of the most intelligent and compassionate men I have ever met. I will never forget the wonderful times I spent in his company. I know how much you will miss him. Please know that you are in my family's thoughts at this very difficult time.
