He served on the President's Council at Plymouth State University.

Sid entered politics in 1992 and served five terms in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. Sid was predeceased by his wife of forty-nine years, Joan Campbell. Although Sid was not descended from Daniel Lovett but Daniel's half brother, I still think of Sid as my cousin. When we talked about it, I told him that we stayed on the farm while his side got educated. His rejoinder was, "They tried to educate us, but it didn't take." His life shows that it did take. He was truly God's gift to the galaxies.

Sid was descended from John. I was descended from Daniel. According to my sister Sue, Daniel and his half brother came to Massachusetts with their mother on the True Love.

Once in conversation in West Hartford, I noted that my family were the Lovetts that stayed on the farm ( although I never lived on a farm) and his family were the Lovett who got educated.

He replied, " They tried to educate us, but it didn't take."

I like to think we are related.

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Sids passing today. A friend and Rev for 60 years. I will miss our calls.
