Steve Lawson Obituary

Steve Cameron Lawson Jr

Hooksett, NH - On July 18, 2024, loving son, brother and friend, Steve C Lawson Jr passed away due to complications of a long battle with a seizure disorder. He was born at Concord Hospital in Concord, NH to Steve and Denise Lawson on August 27, 2001. He attended Concord High School and is described by many as having a big heart and was a hilarious person to be around (and a rambunctious child in his younger years!)

Steve, or "Stevie" as his family called him, was an avid gamer, loved comedy movies and comedians like Adam Sandler, Eddie Murphy and Kevin Hart. Steve loved singing, and always wanted to travel. He spent many summers hiking the mountains of NH with his father as well as foraging for wild mushrooms. Steve's passion for music, especially country and rap, were well known as he would send friends and family video clips of him singing various songs. He loved all kinds of animals, but especially monkeys, bunnies and cats.

Steve could always be heard saying, "oh this one time my buddy and I…" or, "I got a friend that…". He genuinely viewed everyone he spoke with as his friend, and cared deeply about them–always. He loved helping others. Steve had many in his circle, but he was closest with his two best friends, Gabe and Hunter.

An avid video gamer, Steve loved playing games like Fortnite, Call of Duty and Minecraft. As a child, Steve loved playing OddWorld Abe's Exodus, Crash Bandicoot, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, and Donkey Kong N64 with his sisters.

Steve will always be remembered for his quick witted humor, his passion for music, but most of all his big, kind heart and soul.

Steve was preceded in death by his grandfather James Cameron Lawson Sr and his grandmother Catherine Swinimer, and his grandfather William Bottomley. He is survived by his father, Steve Cameron Lawson Sr, his mother Denise (Mercier) Lawson and her fiance Joseph Hearn. Steve's eldest brother Matthew Kling, sister Kayla (Lawson) Weatherbee, her husband, Charlie Weatherbee and their son, Cayde Weatherbee. His sister Emily (Lawson) DuPont (undeniably his favorite) and her husband Dyllan DuPont and their cat, Athena, who Steve helped rescue several years ago. He has numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins as well.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 24th at 11am at Phaneuf's Funeral Home in Boscawen, NH with a reception to follow, location to be determined.

Emily,
This is absolutely heart wrenching news. I lost my brother suddenly in March. Stevie was sooo young & I remember you speaking of your closeness. Losing a sibling is a pain like no other. I am so terribly sorry you are in this nightmare club at such a young age!
