June Haase Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of June Mollie Haase, 94, who passed away August 16, 2025, in Savannah, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, mother and father.

June is survived by her four children: Sue, Cindy, Bill and Jeff, ten grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.

June was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was the only child of Lorraine and August Schmidt. She earned a B.S. degree in Occupational Therapy at Milwaukee Downer College. June met the love of her life, Wally, an engineering student at Marquette University while in college. They married semester break during her senior year. After graduation, they moved to Virginia near Washington, D.C. where she worked at Cripple Children's Clinic until she had children - two boys and two girls. After 15 years of child rearing and volunteer work, she returned to work as an occupational therapist in the Fairfax County School Systems working with handicap children for 12 years. June loved spending family time at their weekend lake cottage that Wally built in his spare time. Three of their closest friends also built cottages at the lake and time was spent gathering together on weekends. In retirement, June and Wally moved to Florida where they joined 3 social clubs and made many good friends through the club activities. Her interests were traveling, attending ballet, opera, theater, reading, and learning computer skills. After 27 years living in Florida, she moved near her daughter in Savannah, Georgia.

Services will be private.
