Jerry Jones Obituary

Jerry Jones, age 68, of London, died Monday, August 18, 2025, at his home. He was born on July 30, 1957, in Modesto, California to Alvin Hughel and Charlotte Louise Tate Jones.

He was a Christian man that loved the Lord. He enjoyed fishing and taking random drives with his wife. Jerry was an outgoing man that would lighten the room when he entered. He loved his grandkids and was affectionately known as Poppy.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of five years, Janice Jones; a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Cheryl Jones; two sisters, Daphne Butler and Louann Ellison; three grandchildren and their spouses, Cory and Courtney Smith, Austin and Meghan Smith and Braden and April Smith; and numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the Shinn Chapel with Bro. Bill Hampton officiating. Burial will be in Booher Cemetery in Russellville under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:30 p.m. until service time in the chapel.
