Marjorie Shott Obituary

Marjorie "Maxine" Shott, age 91, of Havana, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021, at Mitchells Nursing Home.

Maxine was born Aug. 16, 1930, to Vernon (Bun) Davis Sr. and Ruby Burrows Davis. She was the second of five children. She was married to Shirley Shott for 55 years. They had one son, Rickie (Linda) Shott of Dardanelle. She was a longtime member of the Havana Assembly of God Church and was an avid quilter and gifted cook.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and three siblings, Vernon Davis Jr. Charles Davis and Raymond Davis.

Survived by her son; grandchildren, Christie Shott McGlothlin (Bill) of Pottsville, Thomas Shott of Dardanelle, and Sarah Shott of Dardanelle; sister, Corine Stapleton of Havana; sister-in-laws, Euna Shott Cherry (Bob) of Fort Smith, and Margaret Davis of Havana.

She has numerous nieces and nephews who brought many smiles to her, as well as a large community of other family and friends.

Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the WYC Church of Christ.
