Richard John Plugge, 90, of Hartman, Arkansas, was born in Hartman on March 13, 1934, to John and Marie Eveld Plugge. He passed away on May 8, 2024, in Hartman. He was a rancher and a farmer. He was also a Holy Redeemer Catholic Church member in Clarksville, Arkansas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Betty Justine Ruston Plugge, and his son, John Michael Plugge.
He is survived by his sons, Larry Plugge and wife, Tammy of Hartman, Arkansas; Charlie Plugge and wife, Dana of Hartman, Arkansas; his daughters, Cynthia Adamec and husband, Mike of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Cheryl Miller and husband, Steve of Little Rock, Arkansas; his 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., with the Rosary starting at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2024, at the Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville, Arkansas.
Funeral Mass is at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Clarksville, Arkansas, with Father William Wewers, OSB, and Father Jerome Kodell, OSB, officiating. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hartman, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Justin Plugge, Jake Hardgrave, Aaron Plugge, Wesley Plugge, Thomas Plugge, and Alex Adamec. Honorary Pallbearers are Michael Plugge, Aaron Anthony, Raun Allen, Bobby Glaze, and Kelly Glover.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sacred Heart Cemetery at P.O. Box 130 in Hartman, Arkansas, 72840.
