Charles Augustine Obituary

AUGUSTINE, Charles Richard Sr Age 88, of Holt, FL, passed away Mon., Sept. 14, 2009 at his residence. He was born June 13, 1921 in Berlin, N.J. to the late Charles and Sarah Augustine. Charles was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in WWII and was part of the group that landed on Omaha Beach in Normandy on D-Day. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Adair and a brother, Richard Augustine. Survivors include his wife of 62 yrs, Bertha Augustine of Holt, FL; sister, Sarah (Richard) Landgraf of Cedarbrook, N.J.; three children, Charles (Barbara) Augustine, Jr. of Baker, FL, Dianne Breeden of Holt, FL and Patrick Augustine of Milton, FL; a daughter-in-law, Susan Augustine of Holt, FL; 5 grand-children, Libby Johnson, Lola Augustine, Michael (Jennifer) Augustine, Erin Matthews and Charles Augustine III; 6 great grandchildren, Zachary Larry, Jacob Larry, Jax Anderson, Auron Augustine, Morgana Augustine & Lucian Augustine; and numerous nieces and nephews in N. J. Graveside services will be conducted Thurs., Sept. 24, 2009 at 1:15 PM at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola with honors presented by the United States Army. NATIONAL CREMATION & BURIAL SOCIETY of Milton has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Grandap, we always had great tmies fishing on the peir and at the beach! I will remember them always. I wish that Lucian was older so that he and you could have done some of the things we all did....
