Alan C. Bremer, 67, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017, at 12:13 AM at his residence.

Al was born in Newent, England on September 21, 1949 to the late Fred and Lillian (Greer) Bremer. He grew up in Gloucester where he was active in Track and Rugby as a youth and served an apprenticeship to become a stone mason. He was recruited to Evansville in 1979 to be a player/coach for the Evansville All White Rugby Club when he met Cheryl Leach, his wife of 38 years. He was a salesman for Industrial Filters for several years before becoming a self employed contractor. Al was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Al is survived by his wife and caregiver, Cheryl; daughter, Simone Bowly (Paul) of Quedgeley, England; son, Alain Bremer of Gloucester, England; son, Nelson Bremer (Jamie); daughter, Alexandra Watts (Vermicki) both of Evansville; grandchildren, Megan Bowly, LilliAnn Watts and Addison Bremer. He is also survived by a brother, Wayne Bremer (Yvonne) of England; mother-in-law, Roma Mills (Mike); sisters-in-law, Karen Leaf (Brad) of El Cajon, CA and Laureen Baggett (Tracey) of Evansville and several nieces and nephews.

Al was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, Jerry Leach.

A celebration of Al's life will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor David Wiist officiating. Burial will be at Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.

Friends may visit from 1:00 PM until service time on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Browning Funeral Home.
