Evansville - Barbara Smith Studwell
October 7, 1929 - June 16, 2021
Known by her family and friends as "Maudie", Barbara S Studwell passed away peacefully on June 16, 2021, surrounded by enough love to blanket the universe.
Barbara was so much to so many - a daughter, wife, sister, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, aunt, and above all a friend. Fiercely loyal, generous and loving, "Maudie" left behind a legacy that will live on into eternity. And those who loved her and were loved by her will never forget her as she left a huge piece of her heart with everyone near and dear to her.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 72 years, James B (JB) Studwell. Four children Bill Studwell (Candy), Scott Studwell (Jenny), Andy Studwell Alstad (Greg), and Sally Studwell Fedolfi (Mike). Seven beautiful grandchildren - Jason Studwell, Matthew Studwell, Jessie Nalezny (Nick), Samantha Studwell, Jack Studwell, Drew Fedolfi and Marshall Fedolfi. Five adoring great grandchildren - Logan Studwell, Penny May Ryan Bauer, JJ Nalezny, Janie Nalezny and Jackson Nalezny. And her dog Lundy who would have walked through fire for her.
A memorial service for Barbara will be held at a later date this year. All contributions can be made in her honor to either the First Presbyterian Church of Evansville, IN or the Wesselman Woods in Evansville, IN.

Barbara was the absolute best friend to my mom, Barbara McKenna. She brought so much joy to all of us for years but was just amazing when my mom was widowed. Sending love to all of the Studwell family.
