Chuck Redding Obituary
Evansville, IN
Chuck Redding, 70, of Evansville, passed away on August 24, 2018. He was born on December 31, 1947, to the late Johnnie and Charles A. Redding II.
Chuck attended Millikin University and then ISUE (USI). He started, owned and operated The Book Broker for 43 years. He was known to be a mentor and father figure to many. Chuck was a Rat Rod and a Classic Car Enthusiast.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Chuck is survived by his sister, Christine Frank (Gary); brothers, Kent Redding (Debbie), Paul Redding (Marilyn); numerous nieces and nephews; soulmate, Debby Josey Redding; and step grandsons, Kaleb and Nolan Josey.
A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM on Friday, August 31, 2018, at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Stephanie Weiner, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 and then 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Vanderburgh County Humane Society.

I became acquainted with Chuck when I came to Evansville in 1978 and started frequenting his bookstores. He was, as they say in Maine, "finest kind". I will miss him. My sincerest condolences to his family.

Chris, so sorry to see this in the paper. I certainly remember many good times with all your family. You were definitely outnumbered by boys! I read many complimentary remarks on FB about Chuck~~he was certainly loved and appreciated.
