Logan Burke Obituary
Evansville, Indiana
Logan Dallas Burke, 16, of Evansville passed away Monday October 27, 2014 at Deaconess Hospital. He was born August 10, 1998 in Evansville.
Logan was a former student at Central High School. He was very athletic and enjoyed skate boarding, football, basketball and all sports. He was very social, everyone enjoyed being around him and he loved being with his friends and family. Logan's final act was to give the gift of life thru organ donation which will impact over 200 individuals.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Katrina Smith.
Logan is survived by his parents, Christopher and Jessica (Smith) Burke; brothers, Lake Phillips and Landon Burke; grandparents, Linda Thompson, Steve Smith and Don Burke; great grandmother, Roberta Whitehouse and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be from 10:00 - 2:00 pm Saturday November 1, 2014 at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 N First Ave., Evansville, IN 47710.
Funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Ron Osborne officiating.
Burial will be at Locust Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to any Old National Bank c/o of Randall S. Green, FBO, Logan D. Burke to help with expenses.

Your 1 year is getting closer and closer I just can't believe this is real . Everyday I still wake up hoping to see a goodmorning message from you like I used to all the time. I finally got the tattoo we talked about . It's under my collarbone like you told me to get it . Every day I look at it I remember all the times our conversations led to the tattoos we wanted. Logan I miss you so much , everyday feels like a never ending dream . I still message you all the time just because it makes everything feel better I love you angel

you've been gone a while now. I remember my friend from central texting me a few days afterwards telling me what happened. it didn't feel real. it still doesn't. you were always so kind and with a unique sense of humor. I remember the day we met, I got sent out of class and was sitting in the hall when you walked by and told me I had pretty eyes; and then told me again and again every time you saw me. it was something to look forward to haha, and so will be the day I see you again. you are missed so very much. Logan. There are some many ways to describe you; you were a great friend, you were brave,sweet, awesome, funny, different in the best ways, and someone worth knowing. You and I have know each other for years. I still remember when you stuck up for me when kids were mean to me. I lost my dad in 5th grade and you told me if I needed someone to talk to you would listen. I owe you more then anything I could ever own. All I can say and do now is say Thank you Logan Dallas Burke thank you for being a nice guy for being brave and a good friend.

Well I don't know where to start. Logan was a great guy. I was not very popular in school and when I lost my dad he told me if I needed anything at all come to him. Logan also would stand up for me in middle school too. He was a great friend and always will be my hero. Thank you Logan Dallas Burke I owe you a lot more then I could ever own. Fly High. I never really talked to Logan, but i did see him. He seemed like a sweet guy. I wish i could have got to know him better. But I hear all these stories of how fun and amazing he was, so i feel closer to him then i did before. I hate to hear that you had past away. I hurt just knowing someone so young had died. I know you had lived the best of it. Your struggles are gone now. I hope all is well, and you looking over us all. Keep it in check. Fly High. See you when the time is right. <3

I can remember so easily our days back when I lived at Diamond Valley. Logan, Landon, Lake, David, Cody, Austin, Alex and I would always hang out at Woodbridge's pool, the field, and shelter house. We would stay out as late as the street lights stayed on. Logan was such a bright person, he will be loved and missed by us all. If you didn't know Logan, you missed out on an amazing person. The Burke family is in my prayers.
