Nancy Ruth (Reese) Bayer

Evansville - Nancy Ruth (Reese) Bayer, 87, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Monday, June 24, 2019 at her Good Samaritan Home surrounded by her family.

Nancy was born in Vanderburgh County on August 1, 1931 to the late John and Marjorie (Taylor) Reese. She worked as a CNA for Deaconess and Welborn Hospitals. Nancy was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Joseph Campus where she was active in the altar society and seniors group. She was also a member of VFW #1114 Auxiliary and SWIRCA. Nancy was sassy, outspoken, and loved her BINGO.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Judy Dillback (Greg) of Newburgh, IN and Donna Jourdan (Paul) of Evansville, IN; sons, Joe Bayer (Maria) of Newburgh, IN, Mike Bayer (Tina) of Boonville, IN, and Jimmy Bayer (Vicki) of Evansville, IN; sister, Mary Ann Eickhoff of Evansville, IN; companion, Urban Schaefer; grandchildren, Danny, Steven, Kaycie, Josh, Sarina, Megan, Larissa, Joey, Kortlyn, Jimmy Jr., and Ryan; and great-grandchildren, Trenton, Clayton, Addy Burge, Isabelle, Levi, Sawyer, Jax, Benjamin, Adalynn, and Jazlyn.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years in 2002, Edward F. Bayer; son, Eddie Bayer; her parents; and a great-granddaughter, Reagan Burge.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at All Saints Parish, St. Joseph Campus, 618 E Virginia St., Evansville, IN 47711 with Father Gene Schroeder celebrating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 E. Diamond Ave. and again from 9:00 AM until service time on Thursday at the church.
