James Conley Obituary

James Franklin Conley, age 78 of Marion, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025. James was born March 4, 1947 in Salyersville, KY, the son of Raymond and Ruby (Adams) Conley. On December 21, 1966 he was united in marriage to Edith Rose Litteral. James was proud of his Kentucky roots and often visited his family who remained there. He was an avid Kentucky basketball fan and enjoyed watching baseball and professional wresting as well. McDonalds was a favorite treat for him but above all it was his family he cherished most. Especially sitting on the porch with his wife and son, James. He is survived by his children: Jame D. Conley and Rita (Roy) Tolley; granddaughter, Jamy R. Conley and siblings: Bob Conley and Pearly Lynn McCarty. James is preceded in death by his wife, Edith Rose Conley and brothers: Sam and Eddie Conley. Funeral service will be Friday, May 9, 2025 at 1PM at State Road Fork Church, between Falcon and Salyersville, KY with visitation starting at 11AM; burial will follow at Litteral Family Cemetery. James was my Uncle. He always had that smile. He loved my aunt with all his heart. I know that he can rest easy now. Cause he will be back by her side. Fly High Uncle James!! and my condolences to his family!! And extra to his son,James.
