Sylvia Lunos Obituary

Sylvia Ann Vaudrin Lunos passed away March 25, 2021, after being cared for in her home with hospice support. She had dementia for 10 years. In those 10 years she still traveled a great deal, laughed, doted on her children, Bryan Lunos and Stephanie Perryman of Dallas, Texas, Jennifer and Chris Dennen of Plano, Texas, and Michael Lunos of Bedford, Texas, spoiled her grandsons – Nate Dennen, Sean Dennen, Odin Lunos, and Apollo Lunos, and was madly in love with her adoring husband of 53 years, Rod Lunos of Bedford, Texas. She is also survived by Billy Vaudrin of Crookston. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marlys Vaudrin and father, Donald Vaudrin.
Sylvia was born in Crookston in 1948. She attended St. Joseph's Academy and went on to study at Moorhead State College. She married Rod Lunos in 1967. Sylvia was a devoted housewife and mother. Her greatest joy was creating wonderful memories for her children. As the children got older, she was excited to work for American Airlines, in Payroll Accounting, as this meant she and Rod could travel anywhere they wanted, and they did, frequently. Hawaii was one of her favorite places to visit. AA suited her adventurous and fearless spirit. She never tired of the airport or the aircrafts. Sylvia spent her enitre life devoted to the church. She was involved with almost every aspect of Church life, including Eucaristic Minister at St. Michael's.
Sylvia knew she was God's favorite. She simply knew this as fact. Nobody has ever disputed this fact. She loved Jesus, family, and all sports. She was the happiest, hardest working, laughter filled, and sweetest woman ever. She delighted in every little thing. She touched many hearts, as the Lunos house was the place everyone gathered. All were welcomed; all were loved. The Lunos house was where many landed for hysterical and irreverent laughter, a shoulder to cry on, love, cookies, and STABILITY. The Lunos family was always rich with love. Rod and Sylvia gave all who knew them THE best example of a passionate, loyal, and loving marriage. We must try not to be sad it's over; but be happy it happened.
A private memorial for family will be held at a later date.

Sylvia was one of my dearest friends, especially in HS. So many great memories of their beautiful apartment. She was always fun to be with and a very loyal friend. God bring peace and comfort to her family.

I would like to extend my sincere condolences to the family for their recent lost. May they remain strong as a family and find comfort and peace in God who is near to all those calling upon him. 1 Peter 5: 6,7
