Dear Marilyn,
For the last few days Alan has been foremost in our minds as well as the sorrow that you and your girls are going thru. One thing I know is how much his friends and co-workers admired him and who his best friend was. He was a great guy for me to be with and I will always see that smile and that terrible golf swing and the fun I had with him every year playing in the Habitat for Humanity golf tournament.
Our deepest sympathies

Al was a great man, would always go out of his way to say hello. Once of the first times I met him I was listening to Queen and he left and came back to let me borrow a live CD he had, this was the 2nd interaction I had with him. Very nice man, won't be forgotten.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences. I had the privilege of serving the students and community of the Bridgeport Public Schools, with Alan over thirty five years. His calm demeanor, penetrating eyes, and contagious smile reflected deep thought, determination, and willingness to serve others in an unassuming, expeditious manner.
Always a gentleman, he is surely reaping his rewards and everlasting peace.

Lisa and I were deeply saddened to hear of Alan´s passing. I have so many great memories of working with Alan on projects for 40 years.
Most notably driving to different country clubs to pick up used golf clubs he was collecting to give Bridgeport students the opportunity to play golf. Alan also introduced the possibility of new fields being built in Bridgeport by the Cal Ripken foundation and then helped shepherd it through the construction of what amounted to 10 new facilities. A true gentleman who I was so proud to call a friend. Our condolences to his family and countless people Alan touched.

So sorry to hear of this awesome man being taken to a far off land where he will fulfill the needs of many more as he cared for and spent a life long relationship touching the lives of many many students , staff and family members while here with kindness and enthusiasm . Mr. Wallack,

Read School memories were many. You were so supportive and protective of me. You were also tolerant. I wasn't a troubled teen (haha) I just made things a bit exciting for myself and others. It definitely brought tears to my eyes when Bobby phoned and told me of your passing. He knew that I would want to know and I am so grateful. I am super glad that you were in my life and your influence was so very positive. I pray that your family will find comfort and peace in your absence.

With gratitude and love,
