Alexis Patten Toth

Alexis Toth Obituary

TOTH Alexis Patten Toth, age 26, born February 28, 1980 in Bridgeport, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at Hartford Hospital due to multiple injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Alex attended Fairfield High School, and graduated from Staples High School in 1999. He then moved to Stratton, VT in 2000 and was currently living in Westerly, RI where he just received his Class A commercial driver's license. Alex loved Stratton, VT and Fairfield, CT where most of his friends from his early years reside. He lived life to the fullest. He played, and he loved with true abandonment. It is fitting that he died driving the vehicle he loved most, on a bright sunny day with the wind in his hair and love in his heart. His friends and family alike adored his warm heart, his forgiving nature, and his love of the thrill of it all. His life was short, but no one will forget his contagious laugh, his outrageous antics, and his generous spirit, warm smile, and his gift of love to those he knew. He truly gave his all to those he loved. Alex is survived by his loving mother, Anne Patten formerly of Fairfield and Westport, now of Stratton, VT, and Westerly, RI; his devoted father, Michael Edward Toth formerly of Fairfield and Trumbull, now of Fort Meyers, FL; his beloved siblings, Aaron Michael Toth, Nicole Marie Paul, and Michael Toth. He is also survived by grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Toth; and two uncles, Philip Toth and Peter Toth. Alex was predeceased by his grandfather, Albert A. Garofalo of Southport. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 8, 2006 DIRECTLY at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield, CT. Interment will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Friends may greet the family on Friday, July 7th from 4-8 p.m. at the Shaughnessey-Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road, Fairfield, CT. It would be appreciated if donations be made in Alex's memory to: Hartford Hospital, Trauma Department, C/O Fund Development, 80 Seymour Street, Hartford, CT 06102 or Fairfield Rotary Foundation, PO Box 411, Fairfield, CT 06432. My Sincere condolences to Alex's family. Alex was full of life. His laugh always made you laugh, even though I didn't know what he was laughing about. When ever he came over to see Jason he would give me the bigest hug & kiss. As I think back at times he was over there was always something he did to laugh about. He was great with all my kids. We'll miss him greatly. I know Jason will miss him so much. He will miss him calling all the time & wanting to get together. He was a great kid. Rest in peace Alex, we'll miss you.

Anne and Family,

Alex was a most welcome member of our extended family. He always arrived with a smile, a hug and laughter to share. The house had an obvious empty hole in it when he had to leave. He was a devoted friend to Katie and we all loved him dearly. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
