Anne Gucwa Obituary

GUCWA Anne K. Gucwa, age 86, of Shelton entered into rest on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at the Griffin Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Stanley C. Gucwa. Mrs. Gucwa was born in Derby on February 9, 1924, daughter of the late Frank and Sophie Kopec. She was the loving mother of Michael S. Gucwa and his wife Marlene and Stanley M. Gucwa and his wife Donna; sister of Tessie Nizgorski, Tadeus and Mitchell Kopec, the late Helen Lazowski and the late Joseph Kopec. Mrs. Gucwa was the loving grandmother of Christopher, Concetta, Valerie, Cassandra and Stanley Gucwa; and she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Saturday from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. Her funeral will leave the funeral home on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Michael's Church. Her burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery.
