I'm sitting in my home office today and reflecting on the road travelled to arrive to this point. Many of those years Chris and I spent together, hours on end. We worked, built a business, ate, travelled, partied, talked, invested....we were like brothers and we were certainly friends. Chris taught me some important lessons and did so simply by being Chris. I'd like to think he learned from me as well.

Remembering Chris today - just heard of his passing. I'd like to extend my sincere condolences to you, his family. I hadn't seen Chris since the SHS days (class of '72). But I was chatting with an old SHS classmate of mine last night about Chris, and we recalled how we remembered him. First of all, we will remember him as one of our SHS football captains. Second, we will remember his grand smile and kind heart. Lastly, we decided that he was one of the good guys, and after reading the other posts, it looks like he never changed over the years. So, RIP, Chris, fellow classmate, loving father and husband.

I was on Facebook and somehow navigated to this page when doing a name search only to read of this shocking news!!!I am SO, SO sorry to hear of Chris's passing. I know it's been a couple of years, but, please accept my most deepest sympathy to such a genteel spirit. My mom had nothing but praising and loving words for him. How could no one not? My heart is "heavy" at this time.I want you to know that he will always be in my heart and your beloved family in my heart and prayers, as well.

In my 55 years on this planet I have met and known a handful of people of Chris' caliber. It is certain I need not explain that sentiment. Anyone who knew Chris understands.
In a parade before my eyes of everyone I have met and known in my life, I would pick Chris in my top five. He had three qualities that are hard to find together in one person. He was loyal, sincere and possessed the rare commodity of common sense.
Chris made things work more smoothly because of his demeanor. He could be disarming and, hence, fostered a warm and comfortable well being in his company.
Chris will always be a GEM!
