Daniel Meehan Obituary

Daniel John Meehan, age 81 of Raymond, NH, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Exeter Hospital. He was the beloved husband to Janice (Miller) Meehan. He was born in Bridgeport on May 6, 1943, and is the son of the late Joseph and Marie (Hanley) Meehan.
Dan was a proud Veteran who served 4 years in the Vietnam War with the US Army and was released with an Honorable Discharge. After his time in the service, he went on to work as a Manufacturing Manager at Honeywell and Hewlett-Packard IT Company's. He was an active member of Raymond Baptist Church for many years, as well as dedicating his time to countless charities. He loved helping others whenever, wherever needed. Dan was an avid Boston Sports Fan. He loved the rivalry of Sox/Yankees with his brother Dave, and reliving the play by play with his son Tim. Most of all he loved reading a good book, and spending time with his family.
Besides his wife Jan, Dan is survived by his children Kerry Butryn (Erik), Tim Meehan (Jess), Deana Jordan (Jay), Sean Meehan, Debra Mailette (Michael), Doreen Gentile (Charles), Donna Allbee (Douglas), his brother David Meehan (Barbara), as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Barbara (Meehan) Hughes, Patricia Meehan and Lori (Meehan) Delmore.
A service will be held at Raymond Baptist Church on Thursday, November 14 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Raymond Baptist Church, 145 Route 27, Raymond, NH 03077.

I met Lieutenant Dan at the weekly Vietnam Veteran Breakfast in Hookset. He was exactly one year older than me to the day. I enjoyed his conversation and input at the breakfast.
We will miss you brother.
