Edmund Kudey Obituary
Edmund A. Kudey Sr. age 76, of Stratford beloved husband of Eleanore Sabo Kudey passed away peacefully in Bridgeport Hospital on September 26, 2012 with his loving family by his side. Edmund was born on April 15, 1936 in Dupont, Pennsylvania and was the son of the late Andrew and Mary Slonina Kudey. He was a U.S Army veteran and was employed at General Electric for 25 years in their Tool and Dye department. Edmund was an avid fisher, hunter, bow archer and prolific gardener who was known for his organic tomatoes and his mushroom picking talent. He was a former member of the Milford Bow Hunter's and Newtown Fish and Game clubs. In addition to his beloved wife Eleanore of 53 years, he is also survived by two sons Edmund A. Kudey Jr. and wife Kristine of Danville, California and Eric C. Kudey and wife Courtney of Trumbull, five grandchildren Edmund A. Kudey III, Thomas A. Kudey, Hawley A. Kudey, Elizabeth (Libby) Kudey and Mallory C. Kudey, one aunt Genevieve Sendzik of Fairfield, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by his sister Romayne Vadas. Funeral services will be held on Monday October 1, 2012 at 9:00 AM in the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home 2220 Main Street Stratford and at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Grace Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Gerald Sabo S.J. brother of Eleanore. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery Trumbull. Friends may call at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home (Today) Sunday from 4:00 - 7:00 PM.
