I would like to express my deepest sympathy to Gary's wife, Carol, and his children.
Gary will really be missed by his friends at the Catholic War Veterans Post in Derby. Gary was a great guy, easy to get along with and did a lot for our post during his tenurte as the Post Commander. His efforts helped establish the Memorial for Private Witick in Derby. He represented veterans well and spoke for them in public. Recently, Gary, as a Viet Nam vet spoke at the "Support Our Troops" Rally" during the war in Iraq. He did such a fine job. From behind the American flag I look over at him and gave him a "thumbs up". I think that's the way we all feel about Gary ...a thumbs up! That same night one of Gary's daughters came up to him and held him and I thought how fortunate a man he was to have such a beautiful family that cared for him so much. To have this loving family, to serve God and country, I belive would be the pinacle of any man's life...
...You lived it well, Gary....we'll always miss you and you'll always be in our hearts.....

Your friend and comrade,
Dennis
