WATERBURY: Janet Ellen (Trojanowski)Mayer, age 72 of Waterbury, beloved wife of Kirk Mayer, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, December 22, 2022 in her home. Born in Sumter, SC, on November 7, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Maurice and Margaret (Quinn) Trojanowski. A retired operator for SNET, Janet loved having phone conversations, especially with her children. She was an avid Mets and Jets fan, and loved watching them on TV, as well as her favorite crime documentaries and General Hospital. Janet will be fondly remembered for her infectious laugh, as well as a loving and caring person who could become best friends with anyone, even those whom she met for the first time. In addition to her beloved husband, Kirk, of 21 years, survivors include her children, Jamie Yakushewich of Seymour, and Jillian Yakushewich of Watertown; siblings, Marc Trojanowski (Sherre Dampf), David Trojanowski (Sal Catinella), Lynn Trojanowski and Ann Trojanowski; sister-in-law, Dr. Virginia Lee, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Richard Trojanowski and Dr. John Trojanowski. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 4pm to 7pm in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St. Seymour, CT 06483. Funeral Services will take place on Thursday at 10am in the funeral home with interment to follow in Mt. Meadows Cemetery, Seymour.
