Jean Becker
September 12, 1928 - April 24, 2025
Jean Becker passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025, at the age of 96, in Stratford, CT. Born on September 12, 1928, Jean lived a full and loving life centered around her family and her faith.
Jean graduated from Central High School in Bridgeport and went on to have a successful career as a bookkeeper and supervisor. She was at the forefront of technology in her field, learning to use one of the first computers, which showcased her adaptability and eagerness to learn.
Jean was a devout Catholic, attending Mass regularly and in her later years, watching the Catholic TV Mass, which remained a significant part of her daily routine. Her faith was a cornerstone of her existence, providing strength and comfort throughout her life.
A loving wife to her late husband, Victor L. Becker, to whom she was married for 63 years. Jean was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that is carried on by her daughters: Joann (Allan), Maria, and Paula; sons Victor (Marion) and Joseph (Tina); her 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister, Antoinette June. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine and Joseph Morena, and her brothers, Michael and Ralph Morena.
Jean's hobbies included cooking, a passion through which she expressed her love for her family. She was known for her excellent culinary skills and enjoyed exploring new restaurants with her family, particularly in Barkamstead, where she made countless precious memories.
A Funeral Mass to celebrate Jean's life will be on Saturday, May 24, at 11 a.m., at St Agnes Church, 400 Merwin Ave., Milford, CT. 06460. Please join us. Gram my words cannot express how Blessed I feel knowing God put you in my life. You are one of those people who helped shape me into the man I am today.
I believe when you stood before God he welcomed you with open arms saying Job Well Done!!
You will live life everlasting in Heaven with God and here on earth you will continue to live in our hearts and in the memories we will share with our children and grandchildren.
I Pray and Thank You God as You Pour out Your Peace and Comfort to All in this time of sorrow.
