Lucca, Joseph
Joseph Lucca, age 33, of Bridgeport, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Joe was born on August 22, 1979 in Bridgeport to his devoted parents Marco and Tommasina Lucca. He is the beloved grandson of Margherita Trotta of Fairfield and is also survived by his sister, Gina Sabin and her husband Sam of Trumbull and brother, Domenic Lucca and his wife Beth of Monroe. Other survivors include his adoring nieces and nephews, Sara, Gianna, Joey, Samantha, Isabela and Marco and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Joseph was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Domenic Trotta and paternal grandparents, Domenic and Josephine Lucca. Those of us who were blessed to have known Joe and his infectious smile that could light up a room, will never forget his strength, determination and will to live life. He will truly be missed by all. A special thank you to all the doctors, nurses, caregivers and all others that have touched Joe's life over the years. He will forever smile down upon each and every one of us. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull on Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joe's honor may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 1952 Whitney Ave., Hamden, CT 06517.
