Leonard R. DeCava

DECAVA Leonard R. DeCava, age 81 of Spring Hill, Fla., died Monday, August 11, 2008 in Brooksville. He was born in Fairfield and live in Florida for 23 years. He was the owner/operator of Colonial Service Center, Seymour. He was also a race car driver, "Red Ray" #3 car, and was featured several times in Wide World of Sports for boat racing on the Hudson River. Leonard was past president of UNICO, United National Italian Community Organization and a volunteer fireman in Oxford. He was an avid golfer, loved his wife, family and dog. He was affiliated with St. Joan of Arc Church. He was predeceased by his wife, Lillian. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Patricia DeCava of Spring Hill; daughters, Faith Frame of Spring Hill and Jane and Dennis DiMauro of Bolton; brother, James DeCava of Seattle, Wash.; sister, Marion and Paul Corvino of Stratford; and grandchildren, Dawn DiMau-ro, Wendy and Alex Anselmi, Richard DeCava Jr., Timothy Presutto, Michael DeCava, Joshua DiMauro and Jeffery Frame; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
