Marie Carboni Obituary

CARBONI Marie Berardino Carboni, age 87, formerly of Brighton Gardens, Woodbridge and Orange, died Wednesday, January 26, 2006 at St. Raphaels Hospital. She was the wife of the late Lee Carboni; mother of Lynda Lee (Felix) DellaRocco of Orange; grandmother of Julie (Jerry) Iannotti of Monroe; great-grandmother of Gianna Marie and Amber Lynn Iannotti. She was born in Hartford, December 2, 1918, daughter of the late Gabriel and Amelia Dante Berardino. She was owner and president of Gabes United Tyre in Waterbury until her retirement in March of 1982. At a young age, she was a professional dancer and began her love of playing the piano. A women of many interests, she enjoyed Chinese painting, copper plating, calligraphy, bridge and flowers and gardening. Funeral services from the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green, Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John Vianney Church at 10 a.m. The hours for visitation will be Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the AlzheimerCs Association, Southern Connecticut Chapter, 2911 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden, CT. 06518.
