Michael Haray Obituary

HARAY Michael John Haray, age 50 of Bridgeport, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. Mike was a devoted husband to his wife, Doreen Obuchowski Haray and loving father to his two children, Christopher and Jessica Haray and loyal companion, Dutzhie. Mike will be remembered by the many people whose lives he touched with his hearty laugh and selfless generosity. He was employed by the Trumbull Board of Education for 22 years. Mike also volunteered his service as an Emergency Medical Technician with Trumbull EMS. In addition to coaching baseball for the Northend Little League for five years, Mike was a girl scout leader and chaperoned for numerous trips at Holy Family School. He was an avid supporter of Notre Dame High School Fairfield sports programs. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Holy Family Council and a volunteer at numerous Special Olympics competitions in Trumbull. Friend are invited to attend a Memorial Mass, Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church, Old Stratfield Rd., Fairfield. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family through the funeral home. The Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Avenue, Bridgeport is in care of arrangements.

Dearest Micheal,
You were loved from the moment of your birth,and always will be. You were our BIg Teddy Bear, you brought a smile to our face when we were cried or were mad.
You were born on the feast of the Assumption of Our Lady, you where one of Her special people.She watched over you all your life, some people may say no,but they would be worng.

To Doreen and family,
I have not seen Mike for some time now, and was surprised when I did see him at his brother John's funeral. I am Ginny's sister and remember Mike from when I was quite young. I remember Mike as a happy sweet person with a big smile on his face and a kind word for everyone. I am truely sorry for your loss and hope you will eventually find comfort in your memories of Mike. Micheal I will forever remember you and our frequent phone calls especially during John's illness. Your warmth and optimism were deeply appreciated.
