Patricia Partington Obituary

Patricia B. Partington
Patricia B. Partington (Babasick) of Southbury, CT and wife of William C. Partington, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2020 at the age of 75. While she couldn't be physically surrounded by her family at the time of her death, she was surrounded by their love. She was also known by several names, Patt, Patty, Mom, Mema and because she was the oldest of six, Patt also earned the name Sarge, given to her by her five younger siblings. She graciously endured endless short jokes from her not so short brothers and loved being a grandmother. It's difficult to describe someone you love in a few words. Her heart was big and what made her most happy in life was to support and be surrounded by her family and friends. She took care of people, valued doing the right thing, worked hard and was loyal. Patt was an excellent cook and hosted countless holiday and celebratory gatherings for her large extended family where the folding tables extended through all the main rooms in the house and the food never ran out. Her stuffed mushrooms were always a big hit! Her generosity was something that touched those that knew her and no matter what life threw at you, you could always rely on Patt. Patt was born November 30, 1944 in Bridgeport, CT. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Rosanna Babasick (Rizzo). She attended Trumbull High School and met her husband Bill at a mutual friend's wedding in 1962. She raised her family in Seymour, CT, retired from Lacey Manufacturing and formerly worked as an insurance agent at the APS Insurance Agency. She enjoyed volunteering at the River Glen Nursing Home and was an active member of Sacred Heart Church Of Southbury. In addition to her husband of 54 years, Patt leaves behind daughter Lisa Marie Roman (Partington) and her husband Chuck and daughter Kim Ann Darby (Partington) and her husband Mark, four granddaughters, Madelyn Rose, Sophia Elizabeth, Grace Catherine and Morgan Patricia, brother Richard Babasick and wife Deb of AZ, Michael Babasick and wife Jane of TN, Kenneth Babasick and wife Teresa of Oakville, CT, sister Elizabeth Caswell of Watertown, CT, sister-in-law Dorthy Partington of Trumbull, CT, her lifelong BFF Dollie Ray, nieces, nephews and a large extended family. Patt was predeceased by her brother Steven Babasick. Her burial at Mountain Meadows Cemetery in Seymour will be private. Due to the pandemic health crisis her memorial services will be held at a day and time to be announced at Sacred Heart Church in Southbury. The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association by going to www.alz.org. The Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton is entrusted with her arrangements. Friends may leave condolences at www.riverviewfh.com.

I am so upset to read this story. I have many happy memories of Patt from the time we worked together at Lacey. She was always in charge' and I especially loved her eye rolling whenever some one did something dumb. She always did a great job and she was always smiling. Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss.
