Patrick Jeanette Obituary
Patrick Francis Jeanette, age 84, of Shelton, entered into rest on Thursday, July 20, 2023. He is the beloved husband of 53 years of Geraldine Louise (Brezak) Jeanette. Patrick was born in Derby on March 16, 1939, son of the late Anna (Polomski) Marecki. He was raised in Derby, graduated from Derby High School, served his country with the United States Air Force, and lived in Shelton for the past 51 years.
Patrick was a Supervisor of Postal Operations in the Shelton Post Office before he retired after 34 years, and he went on to work as a realtor for Carey & Guarrera. Patrick was an avid fan of UConn basketball and the NY Yankees and Giants. His greatest joys were his children and grandchildren.
He is the beloved father of Shawn Dapp and fiance Nick DeCapua, Dana Jeanette-Kneen and husband Jayson, and Patrick Jeanetti and wife Nicole. He also leaves eight cherished grandchildren, Allison, Connor, Eli, Jay, Alyx, Zachary, Ethan, and Ayden, and several nieces and nephews. Patrick was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and Anthony Jeanette.
Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. On Monday, his procession will leave the parlor at 8:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church in Shelton. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
At the request of the family, memorial contributions are encouraged to the Wounded Warrior Project ( www.woundedwarriorproject.org ). Online condolences can be offered at www.riverviewfh.com .
