On 12/27/24, I was reading a 2008 copy of The Lotus Sutra translated by Gene Reeves I was given for Christmas. In the preface, he mentioned retired Unitarian minister Robert Swain helped him edit and improve his English expressions. I instantly knew this must be the Rev Bob Swain I knew in the late 80´s and who officiated the wedding of my first marriage. So I searched for his name on the internet and learned of his recent transition. This is the only way I can find to send my deepest condolences to his wife and family and wish them peace and comfort as they adjust to his physical absence. Rev Swain was a lovely man, an advocate for spiritual seekers and a clear voice in the chaos of life when I needed it. I admired him and was saddened when he moved from Knoxville, TN. I´m sure he had a rich life and I´m simply honored to have met him and been touched by his spirit along the way.
