Robert Wiemer

WIEMER Dr. Robert K. Wiemer of Bridgeport, passed away on August 25, 2011 at Bridgeport Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Marguerite Wiemer. They were married for 64 years. He was born in Bridgeport, on May 21, 1925. Robert was the son of the late Conrad and Helen Wiemer. Dr. Wiemer was a dentist in Bridgeport and Fairfield for 46 years. He held a dental degree from Tuft's University; was a charter member and former president of the Fairfield Civitan Club, and served on the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army. He also was a former Sunday School teacher, ruling elder and Nursery School Committee chairman at the First Presbyterian Church of Fairfield. He is survived by his four children, Patricia Takach of Charlotte, NC Barbara Barbere of Dunstable, MA Dr. David Wiemer of Milford, and Roger Wiemer of Oxford. He was also the grandfather to his nine grandchildren and the great-grandfather to three great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held for Dr. Wiemer and his wife Marguerite on Saturday August 27, at the First Presbyterian Church in Fairfield at 11a.m. The Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Ave, Bridgeport is in care of arrangements.
