Russell J. Garcia

GARCIA Russell J. Garcia, age 44 of Seymour, entered into rest Tuesday, January 20, 2009 in his home. He was the beloved husband of Laura Griffin Garcia. Russell was born in Bridgeport, June 14, 1964, beloved son of Shirley (Nichols) Garcia and the late Jerome "Sonny" Garcia and lived in Ansonia for most of his adult life before moving to Seymour a couple of years ago. He worked for AT&T and was a member of the St. Sebastian Club in Ansonia. Russell loved to ride his Harley and tinker on muscle cars. Russell was the devoted father of Marissa and Rachel Garcia and is also survived by his sister, Renee Prajer and her husband, Stephen, and his father-in-law, Paul "Bull" Griffin. Russell was the brother-in-law of Mary Lou and David Douin and Timothy Griffin and the uncle of Jennifer and Jessica Douin, Timothy and Kirstie Griffin, and Macie, Jesse, and Wade Prajer. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Jeanne Griffin. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. Friends may greet the family at Assumption Church, 61 N Cliff Street, Ansonia, Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt.
