Vivian Vetro Obituary
Vivian Joan Vetro, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025. Born in Modica, Sicily, on July 21, 1926, Vivian moved to Easton, Connecticut, where she made her home for over 25 years.
Vivian was deeply passionate about her family, particularly her children and grandchildren, and her love for them was evident in everything she did. She was a proud mother to Sam Vetro, Matthew Vetro, Gina Vetro, and Melody St. Clair, and a doting grandmother to Lara, Julien, and Sean St. Clair. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Matthew Vetro, who predeceased her in 2013.
Throughout her life, Vivian's joy was found in simple pleasures: music, especially the classic tunes of Frank Sinatra, dancing, and cooking meals that were always filled with love. She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially cats and dogs, and could always be counted on for her generosity, energy, and sense of humor. Vivian's strength and sometimes stubborn nature were a reflection of her unwavering commitment to those she loved.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, June 12, at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Fairfield, where friends and family will gather to celebrate her life and the memories she leaves behind.
Vivian will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
Arrangements are in the care of the FAIRFIELD FUNERAL HOME OF EDMUND W. DOUGIELLO.
