William Shortell Obituary

SHORTELL William J. Shortell, age 52, of Chucta Rd., Seymour, died at home on Saturday, April 12 surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Matthew "Pop" and Bernice Kiley Shortell. He was born Dec. 1, 1955, Billy resided in Ansonia for most of his life, and he graduated from Ansonia High School, class of 1974. He was a member of the Norwood's A.C. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with your family. The Shortell's.. one of the nicest families in Ansonia. I grew up on Columbia Street and at that time Pop Shortell ran a little market that we went to. The whole family was always gracious to the kids that hung out in their yard. Everyone knew the Shortell family. I always thought the world of Billy & Jimmy. May God's Blessings be with you always and may Billy's beautiful life memories stay forever in your hearts.
