I'm so sorry for your loss. Don was an asset to our club and a joy to work with.

I knew Don from his work with the Cumberland Valley Appalachian Trail Club. He was active from approximately when the Club was founded in 1991. He maintained the A.T. section from the Route 11 bridge to Bernheisel Bridge Rd. from the early '90s until he turned it over to his sin a few years ago. He was also a CVATC Board member for several terms and the Club Secretary for a long time. I enjoyed working with Don and will miss him. I'm enclosing a picture of Don and Craig Dunn from 2012 working on the wood for the sign kiosk that is at the A.T. parking lot at Trindle Road.

It pains me that I must be in Philadelphia for a class on February 18th and will miss the memorial service for Don. He was a valuable member of our construction team, and I was privileged to be able to be associated with him for many years of achievement. He also was a friend who I always enjoyed talking to whether it was to discuss the successes of his children or the impact of the latest growing season on his Christmas trees. I will miss him, but I will also celebrate the fact that I knew such a good man for so many years. To Dottie and Mark, who were part of my construction family, and to his entire family, be assured that I will be there in spirit on the 18th
