Sara Jackson Obituary

Sara went home to glory on Thursday, Nov. 22, 2018, in Dallas TX., while visiting family for Thanksgiving.
Sara was born in San Gabrielle, TX. She moved to Carlsbad more than 60 years ago and was 98 at her death. Mrs. Jackson was the wife of former Carlsbad Councilman A.E. Jackson, who preceded her in death. She was a faithful member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where she served as a financial secretary and usher. Sara retired from the Riverside Country Club at the age of 85. She was so loved that Riverside has named Sara's Fireside Room for her.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, Nov. 30, at her family plot in Lancaster, TX. A memorial will be held in Carlsbad at a later date. Condolences may be expressed at jacksoncommunityfuneralhome.com

My dearest Sister Sara has gone home to be with Our Lord. She adopted me as her daughter, and that was an honor! I will truly miss her smile, words of wisdom and encouragement, heart of gold, and her LOVE of God! She will be greatly missed by the community because she had so much to share and to offer us all. May Jehovah God be with the family, and continue to smile on each of you. I love you Sister Sara! Thanks for sharing your wisdom and life with me.

To the family of Mrs. Sara Jackson, am sorry to hear about your loss. Mrs. Jackson always had a smile on her face and she would always speak whether she knew you or not. I enjoyed being a Usher with her because she always preformed her duty as an usher. She will be greatly missed. Mrs. Jackson had a good heart that has stopped t beating but her good soul has ascended to heaven. May god give her eternal rest and the family the strength to bear the pain. My condolences and prayers will be with the family.
