Arthur Roland Pittman

Arthur "Roland" Pittman, 85, of Ruckersville, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 18, 2025, at the University of Virginia Hospital, bringing his life full circle, as he was born there in October 1939 to Arthur Harrison Pittman and Helen Frances Bailes. Roland is survived by his three daughters: Deborah Delponti of Charlotte, North Carolina, Lisa Nuckols (Bill) of Charlottesville, Virginia and Donna Entezam (Majid) of Charlottesville, Virginia. He also leaves behind eight beloved grandchildren-Khris, Lacey, Corbin, Lindsay, Cyrus, Ross, Kellan, and Dustin-and eleven great-grandchildren. His career journey spanned from account sales with PENZOIL to building a successful real estate business, which included property management. Roland was a master outdoorsman whose passions included hunting, fishing, and farming. His legendary hunting adventures across Albemarle County are fondly remembered by many. And let's not forget his abundant love for his miniature Dachshunds: Maxamillion, Mini, Brownie, Deputy Dewy, and Buddy, who brought him endless joy. Roland will be missed by all who knew …The Man. The Myth. The Legend! His daughters extend their deepest gratitude to the compassionate doctors and nurses of 5 South, whose care and kindness meant the world during Roland's final days.
