Dale Johnson, 85, of Sycamore, Ill., died Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Lincolnshire Place in Sycamore.
Born November 6, 1939, in Lily Lake, Ill the son of Marvin Johnson and Margaret Bennett, Dale married Margaret "Marge" Kieft in 1961. Dale was a member of First Lutheran Church Kirkland. He received his Master's Degree in Guidance and Counseling at Northern Illinois University. Dale co-owned Inlaid Woodcraft Co. in Kirkland and Sycamore for 30+ years with his wife, Margaret.
Dale was a man of many hobbies. He was a Freemason and a member of the Moose and Elk Lodges of Sycamore. He was a pilot and enjoyed flying. Dale was very kind and everybody liked him. He was friendly to people who didn't even know him.
Dale is survived by his son, Jeff Johnson of DeKalb, Ill; and brother, Gary (Rita) Johnson of Maple Park, Ill.
He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Kieft in 2021; and both of his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family for a fund to be established.
A Private Graveside Service will be held.
Celebration of Life will be held from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm Monday, July 14, 2025, at at Olson's Quiram Chapel, 1245 Somonauk St., Sycamore, IL 60178.
Private burial will be at Maple Cemetery, Kirkland, Ill.
The family thanks the staff at Lincolnshire Place & Northern Illinois Hospice for their compassionate care of Dale.
