DORIS DOLAN Obituary

Doris E. Dolan, 79, of Mendota, Ill., died Oct. 19, 2011, at her home.
Born Feb. 5, 1932, in Paw Paw, the daughter of Russell and Mildred (Law) Bradley, she married Richard Dolan Sept. 20, 1952, in West Brooklyn.
She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and the Red Hat Club, volunteered for Mendota Area Senior Services, and worked as dietary technician at Mendota Community Hospital for more than 20 years.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Susie) Dolan of Amboy; three daughters, Kristyne (Terry) Neal of Compton, Karin (Kevin) Gordon of Waterman and Kendra (John) Brown of Mendota; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, in 2006; brother; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at Merrit Funeral Home, 800 Monroe St., Mendota, IL. Funeral Mass begins at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1010 Jefferson St., Mendota, with the Rev. Fredi Gomez Tores celebrating. Burial will be at Melugen Cemetery in Brooklyn Township.
Memorials can go to Illinois Valley Hospice or Mendota Area Senior Services.
