Jane Byars Obituary

Jane Byars nee Bohne, of Palos Heights. Passed away suddenly August 20, 2003. A public school teacher, primarily with Palos District 118. She educated and nurtured countless students for over 40 years. After retiring, her caring way continued to make a difference in so many lives. Beloved wife of the late William. Devoted mother of Judy [Bob] Zielinski, Bill Byars, James [Ingrid] Byars, Mary [Tony] DeSanti & David [Kathy] Byars. Dear Sister of Carol Bohne Wilson, John & James Bohne. Cherished Grandmother of Paul & Angie Cialdella, Christine [Jeff] Meagher, Damianti, Erika, Nisse, Andrew and Matthew Byars, Connor, Shea, & Delaney Reynolds, and Katherine DeSanti. Great Grandmother of Grace and Katie Meagher. Sister-in-law of Gayle and Carol Bohne, Diane French, & Carol DiGiacomo, proud aunt of many nieces & nephews. Caregiver and fond friend to many. Visitation was Friday 3-9 P.M. at the John Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 7020 W. 127th Street, Palos Heights. Was lying in state Saturday 9 A.M. until time of service 10 A.M. at Faith Lutheran Church, 12642 S. Massasoit, Palos Heights. Interment First Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery. 708-361-4235

My sympathy to your family. It was many years ago that as a counselor at the schools of #118 I knew your mother. She was a dedicated teacher and I'm sure she lives on in both your lives and in the lives of all the students she has worked with through the years. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
