Kay inspired others to action by her own involvement in a project. She did not wait for others to do a job, she worked with them. She will be remembered.

I had the great pleasure of working with Kay at the Cook County

Comptroller's Office. What an amazing and wonderful woman. From her very first day on the job, to her retirement party you never saw her without a smile. And you never heard one word of complaint even though there were times she had a tremendous amount to complain about. She always took time to treat every person she spoke with as if they were the most important person in the world. When God created Kay he through away the mold. There will never be another like her. Treasure your memories of her.

To Kay's Family,

I had the privilege of going around with Kay painting over graffiti before Graffiti Busters took over. What a great lady. So thoughtful, she always remembered to ask about my loved ones. I am so glad I was able to know her and be blessed with her presence. I will forever remember the sparkle of her eyes and the contagiousness of her laughter. She will be greatly missed.
