My deepest condolences to the Weber Family and Scott's many friends. I was stunned and saddened when my brother Peter delivered this news.

I met Scott during our first few weeks at SIU. We became friends and visited each others homes and met the families. Scott not only made and kept many friends, I never new him to have an enemy - he enjoyed every moment with whomever was present.

Freshman year, I got to know a number of south-siders, especially his platoon of Oak Lawn buddies and they met many of my north-side friends. We roomed together in a campus apartment sophomore year, Scott and Greg V from the south-side and me and Mike Bickel representing the north. Many friendships were formed Scott would call for a gathering of the clans. For a few summers, grooms from north and south made sure we were all on the guest list.

My dearest memories came courtesy of Scott the Prankster. He crafted each prank to be personal; only you would understand its meaning and enjoy the humor of laughing at yourself. He denied every allegation with his boyish grin and a glint in his eyes. He worked alone and left no clues. In the end, he did reveal what true friendship means.

Sweet Dreams Scott my friend, George
