John Trueblood Obituary

John Paul Trueblood, 48, passed away unexpectedly on January 13, 2015. John (affectionately known as Johnny) was born on June 11, 1966 in Pasquotank County to the late James Carson (Jimmy) Trueblood and the late Peggy Brown Trueblood. After growing up in New Hope, North Carolina and graduating on June 8, 1984 from Perquimans County High School. John left many friends and family and moved to Atlanta, Georgia. Here he would embark on his next great adventure. He never forgot the words spoken at his graduation, the speaker talked about the future saying the elevator to success is broken, youll have to take the stairs, and from these words, he took his love of computers and technology to build Stoneridge Corporation of Atlanta, Georgia with his longtime friend and business partner Troy Bon of Marietta, Georgia. An amazing and driven entrepreneur, Johns foresight guided Stoneridge Corporation for more than twenty years. Johnny was a visionary in business, a nurturing mentor, and a loving and caring friend to countless employees and clients. With a smile and a laugh, Johnny built a home filled with love and companionship that was always open to friends and family. Johnny enjoyed life to the fullest, from sitting and watching the sunrise with his coffee in hand to vacations with his sister, nephews, family and friends. His travels took him around the world from San Francisco to New York, and the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Coast. Johnny frequently found his way home to spend time in North Carolina with his family. Through all of his travels and accomplishments Johnny always remained a kind and caring man who valued loyalty, honesty, and love of family and friends. Johnny is survived by his beloved nephews Christopher Miles Harris and Carson James Harris and their mother, his loving sister, Patricia Trueblood James and husband Stacy Irvin James of Elizabeth City, North Carolina. He also leaves behind countless aunts, uncles and cousins to cherish his memory. To My Big Brother, I know you didnt want to leave me, sometimes we have no choice. I miss being your little sister, hearing my name called by your voice. Im thankful we always said I Love You, a sister and brother like none of the rest. God needed you home that day, and I know God only takes the best! You taught me so many things, from you I learned so much I didnt know, but you forgot to teach me one last thing, How To Let You Go. I love you Johnny Your little sister, Patty John will always be remembered as a great man who loved without bounds and knew no strangers. The family wishes to extend a special Thank You to all the people who touched his life with friendship and kindness. Arrangements are to be announced for the of celebration Johnnys life. Condolences may be sent to the home of Johns sister, Patricia Trueblood James, 407 Troy Drive, Elizabeth City, NC 27909. Johns favorite song, I Hope You Dance, exemplifies his free spirit and ability to live life to the fullest. And He did!! I hope you never lose your sense of wonder, Get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger, May you never take one single breath for granted, God forbid love ever leave you empty handed, I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean, Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens, Promise me that youll give faith a fighting chance. And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance
