Nathan Ferebee Obituary

Nathan Theoplist Ferebee Sr., 53, of 8073 Caratoke Highway, Powells Point, N.C., died at his residence Sunday, Dec. 25, 2005. A funeral service will be held at Pleasant Branch Baptist Church in Powells Point on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. James E. McCoy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held at Stallings Funeral Home today from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends at the home of the deceased. Stallings Funeral Home, Elizabeth City, is in charge of arrangements. A native of Currituck County, Mr. Ferebee was the son of the late George Willie Ferebee and Rosa Ferebee Brown, and the husband of Girldine E. Ferebee of the home. Other survivors include three daughters, Fonda Ferebee and Melody Ferebee, both of Raleigh, N.C., and Catherine Ferebee of Powells Point, N.C.; a son, Nathan T. Ferebee Jr. of Raleigh; two sisters, Martha Hedgebeth of Powells Point, N.C., and Shirley F. Fleetwood of Moyock, N.C.; and five grandchildren.
