Gilbert Samudio Obituary
With great sadness we announce the passing of Gilbert "Dado" Samudio, beloved husband, father and grandfather. He passed away peacefully the evening of February 6 with his family at his bedside. He was born May 8, 1930 in San Pedro to Eugenio and Rita Samudio. He worked as a longshoreman for 46 years, most recently as a linesman up to the day of his passing at age 82. He was one of the hardest working men we have ever known. He was a warm, gentle, loving, caring, giving human being with the most beautiful smile ever. He loved to travel all over the world and loved to watch his Boston Celtics and Green Bay Packers whenever he could. He leaves behind his wife, Violet of 54 years; two sons, Terrence and Patrick; his grandchildren, Terrence, Jennah, Trevor, Corey, Shaun, Emily, Amy and Kiarra. Gilbert loved his family and will be greatly missed. His love will be with us and in our hearts forever. Per his wishes he was cremated. A "Celebration of Life" will be held at VFW, 1140 W.
