With great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Louis "Louie" Butorovich.Born on September 2, 1933, in San Pedro, California he went home to be with the Lord on Sunday May 7, 2017. He worked at Todd Shipyard, U.S. Borax, and I.L.W.U. Local 13 as a Longshoreman and Linesman, he was a proud union man also serving as Casual Hall Sgt-at-Arms for two terms. He loved sharing stories from his time in the Navy on the aircraft carrier USS Bon Homme Richard. He also loved being a Papa and spending time with his family. Dad was a faithful Christian man. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Mercy of 53 years; parents, Rosie (Tadin) and Louis Butorovich; brothers, John (Nan) Butorovich, Rudy Butorovich; Survived by his three children: Louis (Joanne) Butorovich, Steven Butorovich, and Barbara Butorovich; Grandchildren: Michael, Nicholas, Brittni, Madison, and Tessa Butorovich, Daniel Louis Guglielmo, Nathan Lewis, and Layla Watson; Great-grandson Jaiden Butorovich; Sister, Roseanne Iacono; numerous nieces and nephews; and many wonderful friends. Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in San Pedro, CA. on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 10:00am. Please sign the guestbook at mcnerneysmortuary.com or dailybreeze.com.
